This Red Velvet Cake is super moist and it has such a light and fluffy homemade cream cheese frosting. I absolutely love making this cake every holiday. Definitely a crowd pleaser in my book.

Ingredients

Cake Ingredients: – all-purpose flour – sugar – baking soda – fine salt – dutch pressed cocoa powder – vegetable oil – buttermilk – large eggs – red food coloring – white distilled vinegar – pure vanilla extract Frosting Ingredients: – cream cheese – unsalted butter – pure vanilla extract – ifted confectioners' sugar

Instructions

StepS 1-4

– Preheat oven. – Spray cake pans with baking spray. Set aside. – In a large bowl, shift together the dry ingredients for the cake. – In another large bowl use a whisk to mix all of the cake's wet ingredients together. 

Steps 5-10

– In a standing mixer, combine both the dry and wet ingredients for the cake. Mix the batter until the mixture is blended.  – Pour the batter into each greased baking pan. – Place the pans in the oven and bake until a toothpick appears clean after inserted into the cake. – When the cake layers are done, let them cool completely. 

Steps 11-12

– Place the butter, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a standing mixer bowl. Mix the ingredients until the frosting is light and fluffy.  – After the cakes have cooled frost the cake.
