Place meat in a large bowl or plastic bag. Set aside. Make sure the raw chicken comes to room temperature by sitting them on the counter for at least 15 minutes (this ensures the best results for even cooking).
In a small bowl, add the salt and spices. Use a spoon or whisk to mix until combined.
Coat the meat with four tablespoons of the spice mixture and all of the cornstarch. (See recipe notes below on how to use remaining seasonings.)
Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees.
Place chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 25 minutes flipping the chicken using tongs every five minutes while it cooks.
After they have cooked, remove the cooked chicken from the air fryer with tongs.
Garnish with green onions or parsley and serve.
Notes
Cooking Tips- The longer the wings stay in the air fryer for crispiness the darker they get due to the seasoning. If you like crispy wings but, don't want the wings too dark, you can a glaze with the seasoning and brush the glaze on them once they are done cooking. To do this, only coat the chicken wings with the salt and cornstarch before cooking. Cook them as directed in the recipe. While the chicken cooks, make the glaze by adding half a cup of orange juice, three tablespoons of the seasoning mixture and two tablespoons of honey to a small sauce pan. Cook the sauce on medium heat for about five minutes and remove from heat. This glaze will be slightly sweeter, so you can adjust the flavor by adding more of the seasoning mixture to the glaze. How to cook on the grill- Here is the full recipe with detailed results on how to grill jerk chicken.Meat substitute- Use can use this marinade on chicken thighs and legs as well and increase the time to 40 minutes or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165 degrees when inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.Dipping sauce- Mix the remaining spice blend with about 1/4 cup of sour cream and two to three tablespoons of ranch dressing for creamy dip for this dish! Blue cheese dressing is also good as a dip as well. How to store leftovers- Place the remaining cooked chicken in an airtight container for up to three days. When ready to reheat, remove wings from container and place in 375 degrees preheated air fryer. Cook for five minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time.
