Mmmmmmm I just get so hungry when I talk about this Homemade Creamy Alfredo Sauce!  I just love it.  I have to say It's better than at some restaurants I have been to....  Watch out Little Italy here I come! Ha!

Ingredients

– garlic cloves finely chopped and divided in half – olive oil – butter – heavy cream ... Swipe up to see the full list!

Instructions

StepS 1-2

– Heat the olive oil and butter in a large saucepan on medium heat until the butter is melted. – Turn the heat down to medium low heat. Add half of the chopped garlic to the saucepan, and cook the garlic for about one minute.

StepS 3-5

– Then, add the heavy cream to the saucepan. – Next, using a whisk stir the nutmeg, white pepper, and garlic powder into the heavy cream mixture. – Cook the sauce mixture.

StepS 6-8

– Turn the heat off, and stir the shredded parmesan cheese and the rest of the chopped garlic into the cream mixture. – Next, salt the cream mixture to taste with kosher salt. – Stir in the dry white wine into the cream sauce.

StepS 9-10

– In a medium to large pan, heat the olive oil and butter in a large saucepan until the butter has melted. – Add the shrimp to the pan and cook shrimp.

StepS 11-12

– Make sure to stir the shrimp half way through the cooking time to ensure proper cooking of the shrimp. – Gently stir the shrimp into the sauce.

– Serve over your favorite cooked pasta. – Top each dish of pasta and sauce with the chopped parsley garnish.
