This Georgia Peach Cocktail Two Ways recipe will remind you of a Long Island Iced Tea but it’s got that peach feel too it! Southern Bell Style!!!!
Sometimes after a good day at work or on a day off while the kids in school, it’s time for a drank! We have this bar down the road near our house. It’s nothing fancy as all the hard working blue collar workers stop in for a cold one after work. Some even call it their “office” during the day! HaHa!
And that’s perfectly fine because they are their own boss – running their own businesses! Hell they can do what they want to do! They don’t have to answer to anyone as they do a few business meetings. And while they relax, or do a few meet and greets, we’re in there talking and making connections too. So I guess it’s my office too right??
Georgia Peach Cocktail
One of bar’s therapist, excuse me, I meant bartender makes me one of the most delicious cocktails. And she calls it The Georgia Peach. She always makes this for me because I’m not a beer or hard alcohol drinker. I like my wines full bodied to light and crisp….. (Which is not a big hot ticket item to buy in a lot of “kick back hole in the wall establishments” where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came…..) And after a few margaritas – the margarita life gets old.
So she whips this one up for me in exchange for a ridiculously awesome plate of grubs from one of my food blogging cooking adventures. Good exchange I think…. I can go with the motto – Will Cook for Drink! 🙂
Two Different Ways to Make It
So when I came to my lab (kitchen) to make this cocktail, I made it two different ways. One recipe is similar to the version my bartender makes for – a long island with a twist, which is peach schnapps liqueur.
Or you can go with my second version that has less alcohol if you don’t want to commit to a hard core mixed drink and get more of a peachy flavor. It’s all up to you, your choice 🙂
Enjoy! And Drink up for me! Because I can’t anymore… I am one week into the Whole30 program… Wish me luck! I’ll keep you posted.
