This refreshing Georgia Peach Cocktail is a fun peachy twist on a Long Island Iced Tea It’s sweet, smooth, and full of Southern charm! I’m sharing two versions: one strong and sassy (Georgia nightlife style), and one lighter and peach forward if you want something easier to sip.

THE PEACHY TWIST THAT MAKES THIS COCKTAIL A FAVORITE

This drink ranks high in search for a reason, it hits every note people love in a peach cocktail. If you’re looking for a Georgia peach drink recipe, or a peach schnapps cocktail, this one checks every box.

Why it shines like no other:

    • Uses simple ingredients like peach schnapps, vodka, and sweet & sour.
    • Tastes like summer in a glass (even when peaches aren’t in season).
    • Ready in minutes with no shaking skills needed.
    • Easy to customize into a Georgia Peach Tea Cocktail or even a Georgia Peach Shot.
    • Perfect for gatherings, porch sipping, BBQs, or girls’ night.

    MY STORY BEHIND THIS DRINK

After a long day at work or a day off, it was time to have a nice cocktail hour with close friends to catch up. There was this little “hole in the wall” bar near our house. It’s nothing fancy… But it stays packed with hardworking blue collar folks unwinding after their shifts. Some called it their “office.”

The bartender there (or “therapist” as I jokingly would call her) used to make me the BEST peach cocktail. She called it The Georgia Peach, and it became my drink because I wasn’t a big beer fan.

That original recipe is what inspired this at home version, and now I make it two ways depending on the mood or occasion.

    FLAVOR PROFILE

    This cocktail tastes:

    • Sweet
    • Peachy
    • Lightly citrusy from the sweet & sour.
    • Smooth with no harsh burn.
    • Similar to a Georgia Peach Tea cocktail when the Coke hits the ice.

Version #1 is stronger with more depth, while Version #2 is light, and beginner friendly.

    INGREDIENT NOTES

Here’s what goes into both versions of this Georgia Peach Cocktail, and what each ingredient brings to the glass so you can make it exactly how you like it.

    Peach Schnapps

This is where the peach flavor hits you first. It’s sweet, juicy, and gives the drink that unmistakable Georgia peach vibe. If you want a fruitier, lighter cocktail, this is the star of the show.

    Vodka

Regular vodka keeps everything balanced and smooth. Peach vodka amps up the fruitiness without making the drink too sweet. Use peach vodka if you want a stronger peach punch.

Gin + Rum (For the Stronger Version)

These two mimic the backbone of a classic Long Island Iced Tea. They add depth and warmth without overpowering the peach.

Sweet & Sour or Simple Syrup

This brightens up the drink and brings everything together. Sweet & sour adds citrus tang and lift. Simple syrup makes it smoother and sweeter. Either works, it just depends on whether you want more brightness or more sweetness.

     Splash of Coke

This gives the drink that signature “Long Island” color and caramel finish. It’s not enough to make it taste like cola, it simply rounds out the edges and adds a hint of warmth.

    Ice + Optional Peach Slices

Fresh ice keeps the drink chilled and crisp. Peach slices aren’t required, but they make the drink look beautifully peachy and Summertime Georgia approved.

    HOW TO MAKE IT

    1. Start with a Glass Full of Ice

Cold ice is key to keeping the peach flavor bright. Fill the glass all the way so the cocktail stays chilled without watering down too quickly.

    2. Pour in the Alcohol in the Order Listed

If you’re making the stronger long island style version, add the gin, vodka, rum, and peach schnapps.
If you’re making the lighter version, skip the gin and rum and start with vodka + peach schnapps.
Layering in this order helps the spirits blend smoothly.

    3. Add Your Sweetener (Sweet & Sour or Simple Syrup)

This is what makes the drink balanced instead of sharp.

    4. Give It a Gentle Stir

You don’t need a shaker unless you want a frothy, super cold version. A gentle stir keeps the drink clear and clean while blending everything together.

    5. Finish with a Splash of Coke

This is the signature touch. It gives the drink a hint of caramel color and a touch of warmth, enough to resemble a Georgia peach tea cocktail, especially if the ice melts slightly.

    6. Garnish and Taste

Taste and adjust sweetness or strength. Add a fresh peach slice or a lemon wheel if you want to make it pretty. Serve it in a mason jar for that true Southern feel or a cocktail glass for a cleaner look.

    EXPERT TIPS

    • Use good ice. Clear ice melts slower and keeps the drink bright.
    • Chill your glass for a frostier finish.
    • Want a stronger drink? Add a splash of tequila for a true Long Island twist.
    • Prefer less sweet? Reduce the simple syrup or sweet & sour.

    VARIATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS

    Georgia Peach Tea Cocktail

Replace Coke with sweet tea or unsweetened tea for a smoother “porch sipping” vibe.

    Georgia Peach Shot

Use Version #2 ingredients, shake with ice, and strain into shot glasses.

    Make It Sparkling

Top with club soda or lemon lime soda for a fizzy peach cocktail.

    Lower Sugar Option

Use diet Coke or a sugar free simple syrup.

    FAQs

What alcohol mixes best with peach schnapps?

Vodka, rum, gin, tequila (for Long Island style), and even bourbon pair well with peach schnapps.

Can I make this into a bigger batch for a party?

Yes, multiply the recipe by 4 to 8 times and mix everything except the Coke. Add soda right before serving.

    Can I make it non-alcoholic?

Use peach nectar, lemon soda, and a splash of tea for a mocktail version.
